Those are just a few of the greetings I've picked up since I began traveling world-wide almost four years ago. Growing up with a mother as a travel agent definitely had it's perks. I have been to more than half of the islands in Caribbean and traveled up and down the east coast. But something was missing. I've always wanted to experience life as it is, on the other side of the world, not just in and around America. During my senior year at Syracuse University, I packed my bags and studied abroad in South India for one semester. It was nothing less than an unbelievable cultural experience. I even had an opportunity to explore Dubai, United Arab Emirates for one day during my layover to India.
Just 10 months after arriving back to America from my journey to India and graduating from Syracuse Universitiy, I was yet again packing my bags and making another move but this time... to Japan. Why Japan? My husband is in the U.S. Navy, and requested orders to Japan, which he was granted. At first I was completely against it, because of the damage caused by the aftermath of the March 11th 2011 Quake. It's been almost 2 years since I moved here (October 28 2011) and I would have to say, I wouldn't trade any of it for the world.
I began blogging at first to document my travel experiences, so I can reminisce about them in the future. But the more I became serious about exploring, the more I noticed how much travel blogs in general helped me to plan my trips better and more efficiently, sometimes more than the visiting the actual website for attraction. As you browse my entries you will notice that I pay particular attention to detail when it comes to prices. Although I know that with time, pricing can fluctuate dramatically, it still provides a frame of reference for the reader. Ideally, I try to create entries that will be as detailed as possible so the reader will know what to expect and be well prepared as the embark on their own journey. I would love to be able to help out anyone where its needed, so please send me your questions and comments because I would love to read them and reply to them! Happy Travels!
